Once the frame is molded and the sheet metal gone over and primered, they are ready for paint, which you
can also do yourself.

Painting a plain color is very simple and I highly recommend giving it a shot rather than sending the stuff out. Even if you just do the molding and primer, you’ll find you’ve saved a ton of money as well as being able to tell people you did it yourself, which is what this article is all about.
You can pick up a cheap HVLP paint gun on eBay®‚ for about $20, which will work just fine for what you need. I bought three since I had sold most of my stuff before I moved. Use one for primer, one for paint and one for clear coats. Having separate guns makes the finished product that much nicer but is not absolutely necessary.
Paint your kid’s wagon, the doghouse or anything else you can find until you feel comfortable with the tools to do the job.
Once the base color is done according to the directions on the paint cans and advice from the local paint supply store, you can send out any parts that you want detailed artwork put on.

Now the time has come. Everything is sitting there right in front of you and you can hardly wait to finish and ride. BUT….

TAKE YOUR TIME!

This part will also go much easier if you have someone to help you.
In this case, three hands are better than two.
There is a proper order in which to assemble, so be sure you don’t have to do things twice. The more you mess with things, the more likely you are to have something get scratched or damaged.
